They definitelly changed her whole background to Japanese, her name is Rinko something in her previous life in this anime. Not sure which country made this anime, but it was pretty much the same when they dubbed the first few seasons of Fox Spirit Matchmaker, a Chinese donghua based on a manhua. The Japanese changed/translated the characters' names, they just didn't change much about the setting, cause it's a fantasy realm based off both ancient and modern China and it would take visual editing galore.

I am loving how the Duke teases Raeliana and how she falls for it ( even after knowing that he's teasing her lol). And the Duke sneaking behind the door to see Raeliana's outburst lol. She should pay more attention to her surroundings.

The fashion somehow always manages to break the immersion, though, like when the artist gets too lazy with female hairdos and has noblewomen, even the "evil uppity rival", wear it loose and unkempt like a street urchin's, in spite of their supposedly representing a conservative class. Negative portrayal doesn't look like that.
It gets worse when the MC's ballgown has a cut meant to be floorlength to truly shine but it shows the feet(highly inappropriate too, for the type of event). I'm at least grateful the guys don't wear above ankles trousers with no socks, or ultra-modern "sports" socks hidden in their shoes. Or those awful modern shirts with the side pocket, which started out as specifically marketted towards blue collar workers, not at all the aristocracy.
Anyway, at least the architecture is somewhat appropriate and their personalities interesting.

Oh well, one way to justify it is that it was never meant to be a period piece. Not specific to a real life time period at all, since the 'setting' of this world is in a made-up otome game anyway-- the typical setting of the Villainess isekai genre which this anime came from. Some worlds also include magic, with elves, dragons, fairies and such. Which means as long as the characters are wearing beautiful dresses and are facing Dukes, Princes and Kings, ANYTHING goes. All the manhwa in this specific genre are all similar like that actually-- inaccurate, non-specific, made-up, thrown together, mixed, but all of it is pretty accurate to what a typical otome game would dress their characters in.

As long as it uses only period elements(which they shishkebab) and doesn't mix very modern elements such as phones or pregnancy tests(there's one manhwa that has such forward blends of technology and magic and there everything is used in such a way that does prove your point) into the rest, it is meant to be a period piece. The problem remains that it does misappropriation of culture, in similar bad taste to how Hollywood does it to cultural elements from all over Europe, Asia, Africa, not to mention their own Native ethnics. It's annoying and breaks immersion when you see "ladies" pretending to abide to etiquette by curtsying, but their skirt is so short they're almost flashing their audience(and the lift of the skirt was added to etiquette particularly for floor length skirts/dresses, to prevent tripping over the hem), plus, the whole ankle showing remains, in stories that dare make a fuss over fortune discrepancies and blatant poverty vs opulence, a mark of poverty. I don't care whether it looks good or not, often it doesn't cause manhwaga mess up body proportions and the human-building or human-horrorses, or human-carriage scales as well, but I care that it does make sense when added to the rest of the main points the story delivers. And let's not even talk about the crassness the courtiers are written to manifest in front of the royal household or the maid personnel towards their employers or members of the household they're serving. It ends up being a complete mockery of logic and reason far beyond the mockery of Western culture. Which had and still has its flaws, but not to the extent they're doing it. So, no, it doesn't look good.
